Description
Chipboard is a particle board. As the name implies, it is a material consisting of wood chips glued into layers of different sizes. For bonding, formaldehyde resins are used to ensure chipboard strength and moisture resistance. The chipboard is used in indoor lining of frame structures (in particular, interior partitions), floor levelling for finishing and ceiling boarding. Since the material is sensitive to water, it is extremely important to avoid humidity conditions. For example, when constructing a partition, a 10 mm gap is required between the lining and the floor. Formwork shall be protected with polyethylene film. Chipboard flooring shall be waterproofed thoroughly.
