Description
Coniferous plywood is made of softwood and is relatively lightweight. Such plywood is most often made of pine which ensures attractive appearance, sufficient strength and light weight of the plywood. Plywood is a commonly used material in many industries due to its performance and good price. In construction, for example, it is used for formwork, some roof components, scaffolding, wooden structures as part of building facades as well as cladding. In interior design, plywood is used for sound insulation panels, window sills, doors, lift linings and other surface finishes. Plywood is also widely used in manufacturing furniture such as tables, cabinets, shelving units and other fittings, as well as in decorative finishing. Other industries such as rail car manufacturing, automotive industry and shipbuilding cannot do without plywood either. Due to good strength and low weight, the plywood is used for floors and walls in trucks, trailers, railway cars and other vehicles, as well as shipping containers. The plywood is very popular in production of packaging materials and containers, such as wooden boxes, both ordinary and decorative ones. Plywood can also be found on the road: it is used for billboards and road signs. They are made of water-resistant plywood.
